The city of Zalvana is one of the largest districts of the state of Ghardaia with a wide reputation, located at an altitude of 400 meters in the middle of Hamada and sand dunes, 65 km from the capital of the state of Ghardaia, and about 40 km east through the African Union, and the national road No. 49 that connects the two states  Ghardaia and Ouargla, as for Algiers, it is about 665 km south of Zalfana, and 43 km from Noumerat International Airport, Moufdi Zakaria, and it is bordered from the north by the municipality of Qarara and from the south by the municipality of Metlili belonging to the wilaya of Ghardaia, and from the east it is bounded by the Wilayat of Ouargla and from the west by the municipality of Atef  State of
